Definitions and proposed amendments · earlier approvals preserved

You approved these names earlier. You then asked where their meanings overlap. This review proposes clearer definitions and a few changes; it does not ask you to approve the same list again.
What I need from you
Read each recommendation and mark Agreed, explain where you differ, or leave it open. The earlier approvals remain visible below each row.
Open a row for examples and consequences. Stored type assignments and pictures are comparison material, not proof that the existing classifications are right.
Your answer settles the meaning we build toward. Database changes, prompts and search behavior still need implementation checks.
Should campaign membership replace Campaign Film as a type?
Retire the type; preserve the campaign link. Belonging to a campaign tells us how work connects. It does not tell us what kind of film we are looking at. This changes a previously approved name.
Already decided, 10 August: Every individual content type on the August list was approved, along with the channel choices. The headings above the types were not approved.
Already decided, 10 August: A campaign is a container you file pieces in. The kinds of grouping are a campaign, a brand-and-identity program, a project, and an event or season.

A missing campaign link means we have not recorded one. It does not prove that the work was made independently.
The working
You approved Campaign Film among the individual types, then asked how it differs from Brand Film and Brand Story. This is an amendment to that approval, not a request to approve the list again.
I recommend removing Campaign Film from the type choices. Keep the link to a named campaign and the evidenced part the film plays in it. A campaign’s lead film need not be a separate genre.
Nike’s cricket commercial already belongs to a named campaign in the stored records. It can remain a commercial and appear when someone browses that campaign. Its credits, products and craft descriptions are separate facts.
Thank you, mom is stored as Brand Film and has no campaign link in this check. The record includes a source link. We must not invent a campaign just to fill a missing relationship.
The alternative is retaining Campaign Film with a definition that adds something beyond membership or a lead role. If that is the distinction you want, describe it in your answer.
The current field has no piece stored under Campaign Film. That does not make removal free: search wording, routing, examples and any saved rules must be reconciled before implementation. No relationship changes when you answer.
Should these names describe videos about a brand or product, without implying a minimum length or production budget?
Keep Film for video; describe other media by their own form. Brand Film develops a brand’s story or identity. Product Film presents a product through a composed film. Neither name means expensive or long. Static work remains discoverable through the same brand or product. A beat is a short stretch inside a video.
Already decided, 10 August: Every individual content type on the August list was approved, along with the channel choices. The headings above the types were not approved.
Already decided, 4 October: Several types can describe a whole piece, with one leading; a contained beat never supplies a whole-piece type by itself.

The Sora examples are stored as Brand Film. Their presence here does not certify that description. An interface image is comparison material, not a film.
The working
Your concern was that Film sounds higher-end and excludes a static post. I recommend retaining the medium-specific names while making brand and product browsing work across every medium.
A Brand Film should develop a brand’s story, character or identity. Posting a short narrative on a brand account does not establish that on its own. Thank you, mom and Deflated are cases to check, not model answers.
A Product Film should present a product or its experience as a composed video. Product Demonstration answers a more specific question: does the piece demonstrate what it does? Both descriptions can apply when both describe the whole work.
Choice AI phone screens in Furusato Choice app is stored as Product Shot. It remains an image and should connect to the product it depicts. Finding that product should not require knowing the image’s type name.
A launch is a separate reason for publishing work. A launch can include a film, a photograph and a page. Product Launch remains distinct from Product Film; its exact definition is reviewed with the launch terms.
The alternative is replacing Film with Content. That covers every medium but adds little beyond the brand or product relationship, and hides a useful video distinction. Do not use the replacement merely to repair incomplete cross-media navigation.
No length or budget threshold follows from this recommendation. Existing assignments still need review against the definitions, and Product Film needs the same routing and validation support as the types already in use.
Should Commercial mean a film made as an advertisement, with Brand Film also allowed when the whole film develops the brand’s story?
Define by the work; allow genuine overlap. A commercial remains an advertisement when posted organically. Its length, an explicit offer, or a paid placement cannot decide the type alone.

Stored types are comparison evidence. A thumbnail cannot establish a whole film’s purpose, and the source platform cannot establish whether an appearance was paid.
The working
The older recommendation divided short, offer-forward commercials from long brand storytelling. That was our proposed boundary, not your approved definition. The stored durations overlap, so the data does not support using length as the rule.
I recommend Commercial for a produced film made as an advertisement. Look for evidence in the work and its source context. A commercial can be funny, emotional, product-focused or brand-focused, and need not announce a discount.
Brand Film answers a different question about the whole film’s story or identity. A film may meet both definitions. Your rule permits several genuine whole-piece types with one leading; the database path does not yet prove that behavior.
The Nike Ada Hegerberg clip is stored as Commercial. Thank you, mom is stored as Brand Film. They are useful comparisons, but neither its platform nor its current type is sufficient to certify the distinction.
Where the film appeared and whether that appearance was paid stay separate. A repost does not create a new creative work. A moment is a stretch inside a video; its logo animation does not classify the whole film.
The alternative is a single broad advertising-film choice. That reduces overlap but makes brand-story browsing depend on another description. I recommend the more informative definitions, with explicit evidence and examples, rather than a duration threshold.
Should we remove Offer as a type while keeping the actual deal and its evidence separately searchable?
Remove the type only with the deal preserved. A discount can appear in a post, image or commercial. Keep what the piece is, its promotional purpose, and the deal’s actual terms distinct.
Already decided, 16 August: “Offer” stays listed but leans remove — restated.

The pictured ads are comparison material. They do not establish a discount or other offer. No result under Offer does not mean no deal exists anywhere in the library.
What you have said about this before
“like i said offer promotion feels likemarketing intent or goal and recruitment ad just drop”— your Brand & Identity dictation of 16 August
The working
You leaned toward marketing intent but left the final removal open. I agree with removing Offer from the type list, provided we keep the deal itself and a link to the evidence describing it.
Marketing intent describes why a piece exists. It does not replace an offer’s terms, eligibility, place or validity period. Those details must remain unknown when the source does not establish them.
The French ChatGPT ad and the OpenAI Academy image are stored as Advertisement Image. They show why an advertisement need not be a discount. We should not infer a deal from paid placement or promotional wording.
Someone looking for launch promotions should still find the underlying work and any evidenced deals. The implementation must demonstrate that search before removing a type or migrating saved rules.
The alternative is retaining Offer for pieces chiefly communicating a deal. That keeps a familiar entrance but mixes what the piece is with what it promotes. It would still need separate deal details.
Removing Offer would not settle any browsing heading. Other types still await placement under the temporary heading, so its future must be reviewed with those remaining choices.
There are no pieces under these exact type names in the checked field. That is a storage observation, not proof of a lossless change. No database rename, deletion or reanalysis follows from this answer.
Should Promotional Ad describe the designed advertisement, while Sponsored Content becomes an evidenced sponsorship filter across types?
Separate the advertisement from the sponsorship relationship. An ad’s design and a sponsor’s involvement answer different questions. Keep Promotional Ad as a type. Let Sponsored Content find sponsored articles, films and posts without erasing their own types.
Already decided, 10 August: Every individual content type on the August list was approved, along with the channel choices. The headings above the types were not approved.

Advertisement Image is the current stored name. Promotional Ad is proposed and inactive. These LinkedIn ad examples do not prove a creator or publisher sponsorship arrangement.
The working
You approved both names, then asked whether Sponsored Content belongs with partnerships. I recommend keeping the term discoverable while changing what it describes: sponsorship is a supported relationship, and the piece keeps its form.
Promotional Ad would describe a designed advertising piece. An image is not automatically an ad because somebody later paid to distribute it. Conversely, the designed ad remains an ad when reused without paid placement.
Sponsored Content would find work made or presented under an evidenced sponsorship arrangement. An article remains an article; a film keeps its film type. Record the sponsor, creator or publisher and the source of that relationship when known.
Paid distribution and sponsorship are not interchangeable. These OpenAI ads establish their presence in an ad library; they do not establish a sponsorship deal. The absence of a sponsorship record also does not prove there was none.
A Key Visual is a principal visual used across a campaign. An ad may use it, or the same complete image may serve both roles. Preserve the evidence for reuse and avoid duplicating the work solely because it appeared again.
The alternative is keeping Sponsored Content as a whole-piece type alongside form. It is familiar, but sponsorship would still need a separate evidenced relationship, and non-sponsored editorial work must not inherit it from a paid appearance.
Agreeing accepts both parts of this recommendation. If you accept Promotional Ad but want Sponsored Content to remain a type, choose No — I differ and say that. The two names will not be silently treated as equivalent.
The current Advertisement Image assignments need individual review before any proposed rename or split. Its stored count is not a count of already implemented Promotional Ads. No type, relationship or distribution record changes today.
Every number and every picture here came out of the live library on 4 October 2026, and each picture was fetched and checked before it was shown. Looking at this page changes nothing, and neither does answering it today.
